Commented on Easton's Horse Farm Complainant Details Neglect
02/22/12
Take a look at the arrest affidavit, read about the many visits the State made to Pee Wee before seizing 5 of the worst horses. There is no indication Blackie was receiving "special care" while on the farm, Vittorio is on record as refusing to get him vet care.
The farm's vet is on record as saying Vittorio never called him to see Blackie. So a horse suffering from multiple hoof issues and a chest infection was left to fend for himself in the elements and this is OK? Did you document him being fed 3 times a day? Amazing how much better he looks in that newer picture now that the State is providing him with REAL care.
The farm's vet also stated he had only seen 2 of Vittorio's 95 horses in the last 2 YEARS. Wow.
Boarders volunteering weekends to put up run-ins on the property? Lovely, but was that happening pre-seizure? Doubtful, so don't pat yourself too hard on the back. It seems a self-serving gesture at best. To claim Vittorio rescues horses is a blatant insult to REAL equine rescue groups across the state (some of which have taken horses from this very farm over the years).
So by your account, the State is lying, that what was documented by 2 animal control officers, the head of state animal control, and the state vet isn't the truth? So why not call them to discuss on the record? View Comment
Commented on Seized Easton Horses Doing Well Under State Care

Hooch stated the situation very clearly. The State did not cite all of the over 100 horses on the property as lacking shelter, probably just the 30 standing in mud pits with no access to dry ground or the option of a run-in. These horses are never vetted, Vittorio admitted on camera that they never are. When health problems inevitably arise, they are left to linger and die slow deaths. God knows how many horses have been buried on that property over the years. He must be held accountable for his lack of decent, basic care. He claims to love all his horses, but isn't this what all hoaders say? That show on TV...the people who say they love their animals yet the investigators find carcasses and skeletons all over the house. The really mind blowing thing is that there are actually boarders there willing to look the other way for cheap board and convenient location. Shame on them. View Comment
